Technology Integration as a Transforming Teaching Strategy
This article was interesting to read. I think what it said made a lot of sense. The example of Mrs. C was an excellent example of how to integrate technology in the classroom. We need to use it as a resource to help engage the student's learning and then enhance it by allowing the students to find out more about their topics and to share their information with others. I agree with the researcher's findings that integrating technology in the classroom is going to vary according to the teaching beliefs as well as their perceptions towards technology inovations.

You're right, Rita! The "hook" or the engaging part is there and is evident. But the transforming part-- using the technology to take students to places they couldn't go without it-- is our noble mission! Bernajean Porter says that if students can learn the same thing without the "stuff" then we really don't need the "stuff"! And she is probably right! We have so much work to do! BUT- if we shoot for the moon and land in the stars, that will still be good, won't it?
